Everything about Chervona Ukraina totally explainedChervona Ukraina (from Ukrainian: "Червона Україна" — "Red Ukraine") was a Soviet Svetlana-class light cruiser attached to the Black Sea Fleet. Laid down on October 3 1913 as Admiral Nakhimov (renamed to Chervona Ukraina on December 7 1922), launched on November 6 1915 and commissioned on March 21 1927. Several Soviet naval commanders have served on the ship: Nikolai Gerasimovich Kuznetsov, N. Nesvitskiy, and Y. Panteleyev. The cruiser was destroyed by German bombers during the battle of Sevastopol on November 12 1941.
